Could These New Rules Save You Money on School Uniforms?

Good News. New government rules cap pricey branded uniform items saving families up to £73 million a year.

This new government rule means schools must now keep branded items to a minimum, offer second-hand options, and help make uniforms more affordable for all families.

That’s a small but important win, especially as costs continue to rise elsewhere. If you still need a bit of extra help this summer, we’re here with fair, affordable support and a chance to win a £50 voucher* too.

Because no one should have to choose between buying shoes and paying the bills.

Have you watched an episode of Brewin' & Bankin' yet?

Last month, we launched Brewin’ & Bankin’ - the quiz show that sparks credit union conversations, one cuppa at a time.

If you already caught the videos, you’ll know we hit the road to chat with bus drivers in Wythenshawe and the retail team at Merseyrail in Liverpool. But if you haven’t, now’s your chance to see what real members had to say about saving, borrowing and making money go further.

It’s all part of what makes us different.

Since Voyager Alliance, Penny Post and Retail CU joined forces, we’ve been working to reflect the real stories of all our members across industries, across communities and across the UK.

💬 "A credit union helped me save for my first car."

💬 "I look for somewhere that's not-for-profit."

💬 "I save to go on holiday"

One Mission. Six Depots.
What’s the Story?

Over 11 million people in the UK faced food insecurity last year, and the number’s still rising. But one of our members is stepping up.Neil Atherton – aka The Bus Walker – will be walking between six North West bus depots, armed only with his supermarket trolley, to raise awareness of child food poverty.

Neil’s already raised £5,667 of his £7,500 goal, with every penny going to local foodbanks. We’re proud to support his journey and join him in spreading the word. Tackling food poverty starts with prevention, and credit unions have a vital role to play.

What’s New With Our Team This Month?

We’re levelling up our money guidance so you can feel even more confident in the support we give.

Our team are taking part in the Money Guiders Programme, a national training initiative backed by the Money & Pensions Service.

It means better advice on budgeting, borrowing, and benefits from people who genuinely understand your situation.

Because we’re not just a bank, we’re your credit union. And that means going further to support you with guidance that’s personal, professional, and always in your corner.
